Prof. Robert Quansah

Co-Investigator

Associate Professor of surgery and an orthopaedic surgeon. A product of Ukrainian Institute of Advanced Medical Studies and a fellow of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons.

His research interests lie in the field of injury prevention and control and capacity building in the care of the injured. He has over 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals and reviews for many international journals. He is a member of the Ghana Surgical Research Society, Ghana Orthopedic Society and the Ghana Medical Association.

About Us

Kumasi Injury is a research collaboration between Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi Ghana and University of Washington (UW), Seattle USA. Its agenda is to strengthen injury control research in Ghana and West Africa. The program is solidly grounded on a history of collaboration in injury research, which started in 1995 and has received funding through Fogarty International Center (FIC), National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA since 2006.
